We arrive in Porto on Tuesday afternoon and head into the city to explore. It’s pretty with a bit of a rough edge but the most noticeable feature is how quiet it is. It feels almost deserted and we even struggle to find a local restaurant for dinner before settling upon a student bar that serves fried sandwiches covered in cheese and omelettes .... our bad food woes continue.
We spend the Wednesday sleeping in, shopping and relaxing before deciding we will cut our stay in Porto short and hi the road tomorrow.
