It’s now time to pay for our sins and in the heat of the Spanish summer the price is high. Our recovery is not aided by the early morning construction work next to our hotel and Grant is doing it the toughest on the drive down to Valencia. Our day is saved by the age old Spanish hangover cure ..... Paella. Valencia is home to the Paella and Maria’s family have given us the location of one of the best Paella restaurants in Valencia. Followed by a quick dip in the Mediterranean and we’re ready to resume our 4 hour drive to Granada in the south of Spain. We arrive around 9pm but can’t find the hotel and after 3 nights out in a row and a very long drive it’s all too much for me (readers can guess who) and I get a serious case of shits which can only be cured with a good nights’ sleep.
Sav and I leave Grant and Maria to sleep in while we explore the magnificent Moorish palaces of ....... These are some of the most wonderful ancient sites we have visited on the trip and the spectacular detail of the ..... palace was not matched by anything we saw in our middle eastern adventures.
