We drove through the mountainous national park in Northern Portugal and after a quick tour of the village we decided to head back to Spain. On our way, we spent three hours driving through spectacular scenery of golden wheat fields.
We found a great online bargain to stay at brand new 4 star hotel in Leon, but it took us half an hour to find it... when we finally saw it we realised why it was such a steal! Our nearest neighbours were wearing hospital gowns and surgeons clothes - we were staying at the hospital hotel!
We had a bit of fun exploring the town in the evening and it seemed like all the locals were out to enjoy a night cap too! The Spainish really make the most of the great summer weather and there is a vibrant atmosphere in this small town!
